I've tried lots of different ways to create a routine to start my day off in tip-top A1 state of mind, body, heart and soul and it has definitely been a challenge to be consistent with it. Of course as a recovering perfectionist I initially made it a liiiiilllltle bit toooooooo complicated, but bless my heart cos I've kept trying even when I've COMpletely fallen off the self-love wagon.
What I've found is that when I create too many rules about it then it's no-longer enJOYable, so getting up early when it's cold and dark.......bump-bowwwnnnn..no good for Peta. Trying to do yoga, card reading, meditation, to-do list, smoothy allllll before 7am is a big fat NO_CAN_DO. Of course I tried but then felt like a loser because it wasn't achievable for me.
So I reckon I might have cracked the code (for me at least. You've gotta work out what fits with you but by all means give this a go because it is F U N and totally do-able).
Sometimes we all hit that point in our day or week when it feels like your eyes are going crossed cos you're concentrating so hard on what you are doing and then you also realize that you've been talking to yourself and THEN answering in another accent or tone of voice. Or perhaps you find yourself swearing at an in-animate object for being so stupid and you give it ultimatums "You've got one more chance loser before I lose YOU!!!!!!!"
